A Mother Theresa Care – Compassionate Residential Care for Seniors and TBI survivors

A Mother Theresa Care is a warm, home-like residential care facility for the elderly in Placentia, CA. We combine professional support with a faith-inspired heart, providing personalized care for seniors, including adults living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and other complex care needs. As an approved Assisted Living Waiver (ALW) provider, we help families access quality care without sacrificing dignity, safety, or comfort.

Why Families Choose A Mother Theresa Care

At A Mother Theresa Care, we realize that one of the challenges that face individuals needing assisted living is the risk of boredom and isolation. We have many various enjoyable activities available for our residents to choose from based on their own interest and personal choice. We also have Christian faith inspired activities for those who are seeking to grow their Christian faith. All activities are based on a person’s personal choice to participate. Respect and dignity is the center of our core values.

A Mother Theresa Care is in a smaller, home-like setting instead of a large facility. We are a Medi-Cal ALW-approved provider to help eligible residents who cannot afford the high cost of assisted living. We are here to help you through the process of applying for the Assisted Living Waiver Program. Call us if you need help on this process. We also value working in collaboration with community resources for seniors and TBI programs to support long-term success. We work with all Medi-Cal approved Care Coordinating Agencies of your choice to help you with the process.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program

We specialize in supporting adults who are living with the effects of TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury).

Our team focuses on consistent routines, safety, behavioral support, and cognitive stimulating activities to help residents re-learn simple independence and support their long-term productive goals. We keep our residents engaged with enjoyable activities of their choice and assist with navigating specialized TBI programs that will promote healing. Measurable goals are part of the TBI care plan, as well as, incorporating productive goals into the daily routine and activities.

We work closely with our TBI community partners such as: St. Jude Brain Injury Network, Jodi House, Up N Out Social Club of America, High Hopes, Special Strong Orange County, and Ryan’s Reach. We work with our community partners to ensure that there are many TBI focused services available to our resident’s so each individual can feel hopeful for their lives and future as a TBI survivor. Life should be enjoyable, beautiful and productive for all individuals, including TBI survivors. Truly it takes a village and mutual support to TBI survivors to produce successful outcomes. Having a community who understands your needs is vital to a TBI survivor’s mental, physical, and emotional stability. We value and we are passionate with our mission mindset, that every person deserves a chance at a well-rounded quality of life.

We work with Dr. Daniel Andre Ignacio, Certified Brain Injury Specialist. Here is Dr. Ignacio with our resident who is so happy with his help.

Here is a picture of one of the activities that our resident requested, faith inspired jewelry making and bible verse reflection.

Here we are visiting our neighbor for our afternoon, women’s prayer group. This of course as with all activities is based on every resident’s personal choice.

We have fun activities such as beach outings with our paddle and picnic program during summer season. If you don’t like to paddle, no problem, you can participate by just enjoying the friendship, the beach and all the good food at the picnic.

This is our resident enjoying the Bingo with Up N Out Social Club! Who doesn’t enjoy winning and all the laughs along the way?!?
